NAD Therapy from Recovery Room

So today we’re going to talk about NAD between the supplements, infusions and now the new skincare line that we’re carrying here at Recovery Room.

NAD stands for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide. It’s a coenzyme that’s present in every cell of your body. Think of it as the battery. It provides the energy to your body for most of your cellular functions and energy levels. It even works as a co-factor for most of the vitamins. They don’t work without NAD. Nothing works without NAD. As you age, the NAD levels fall steadily. So an elderly adult has much less natural NAD than a young adult.

Correct. So as your NAD levels drop off, that’s when disease processes can creep in and aging can creep in. In theory, they’ve been trying to study ways to prevent aging or anti-aging. So they’ve figured out that supplementing NAD in the form of supplements, oral supplements and intravenous supplements have been very beneficial with intravenous being the most potent of the two options.

Yeah, I don’t think NAD is going to make an 80 year old 30 again, but it’s going to make a 60 year old feel like a 40 year old. It’s going to increase your energy level. It’s going to improve your health overall and getting your NAD levels up is a natural way to fight the aging process.

It’s the closest thing that we’ve actually come to the fountain of youth for age. So we offer here at Recovery Room, a couple of options for NAD supplementation. We have oral supplements that you can take daily. These supplements do take some time to get therapeutic. Typically, two to three months of taking the supplement before you get therapeutic. We also offer intravenous NAD in two different protocols. We have a NAD protocol, which is 250 milligrams of NAD over a four-day period. And this is typically for people who are looking for the anti-aging in the skin, the more youthful appearance.

Then we also offer a NAD+, which is double the concentration still in a four day window, but this is going to be more for the neuro protective, the neuro-regenerative qualities, and as well as helping out with opioid dependency, alcohol dependency and those kinds of issues as well, NAD, it’s really amazing what it can do with the brain. It actually has a neuroprotective quality. So there’s been doing a lot of studies on NAD and its ability to help prevent Alzheimer’s, dementia, Parkinson’s disease. And of course, for a while now, NAD’s been used in alcohol and drug rehab to help block opiod receptors so that the person can focus on sobriety.

Definitely. So those two options, the oral and the IV are two options that we’ve been offering here at Recovery Room for about six months now. But we just are going to introduce a new line, a skincare line of NAD. It’s really the first of its kind. This is kind of something new, realized the benefit of NAD in the IV, in the supplementation form and now they’re trying to incorporate that in a topical skincare form. And now we’re offering this product called NADIA which is a complete skincare line that’s going to have NAD infused in it. So all those benefits we were talking about when you take it orally or intravenously, you’re going to have the same benefits on topical version for the skin. So it’s going to help with collagen formation, helping get rid of fine lines and wrinkles. It’s going to help with UV protection from the sun, which can potentially aid in protection against skin cancer risk.
