Your First Visit
When you walk into Recovery Room, you will be immediately checked in by one of our nurses at the front desk.
While our wait times are short, we welcome you to relax in our waiting room and enjoy a complimentary beverage.
Your appointment at Recovery Room begins with a 10 minute consultation with our Nurse Practitioner to review your medical history and determine your treatment course.
Upon completion of your consultation, your Registered Nurse or Paramedic will take your vitals to ensure you’re in condition to receive treatment.
Now, it’s time to relax. Your IV hydration treatment will last approximately 45 minutes. We have blankets with each treatment chair. Ask us about our eye masks, personal headphones, and add-on oxygen therapy.
Meet Our Chief Nurse Practitioner & COO
Christopher Garner
Christopher was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama and attended UMS-Wright Preparatory School before attending Spring Hill College where he received a Bachelor of Liberal Arts.
Over the following several years, Christopher cultivated a successful company, Bay Landscaping, before ultimately deciding to return to college to pursue a degree in nursing.
Following in the footsteps of his mother, Christopher felt called to help people, and received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Springhill College in 2010.
After graduating with honors, Christopher worked in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Providence Hospital and the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Mobile Infirmary. He later decided to advance his career by transitioning into the provider role as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Christopher graduated with his Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2014.
He began his nurse practitioner career in the inpatient setting as a hospitalist where he managed the care of a diverse population of patients. It was in this role that Christopher crossed paths with Dr. Meshad, a prominent local oncologist, who had a vision of opening Mobile’s first boutique infusion spa. With Christopher’s former business experience, the two were a perfect match, and, after many months of planning, Recovery Room was born!
Christopher is passionate about bringing quality naturalistic products and services along with stellar customer service to the Mobile area. Christopher would love the opportunity to share with you how Recovery Room can improve your quality of life.
Meet Our Owner & Medical Director
Dr. Michael W. Meshad
Dr. Michael Meshad is the owner and medical overseer of Recovery Room Mobile. Dr. Meshad is a well-known practicing Hematologist and Oncologist in Mobile, AL, where he lives with his wife Kitty Meshad.
Dr. Meshad graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1972, after which he completed an internal medicine residency at the University of South Alabama Medical Center and a medical oncology fellowship at the Dana- Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Meshad started Southern Cancer Center in 2007 and continues to practice there today.
He was inspired to bring the boutique infusion spa concept to the gulf coast after learning about similar facilities while traveling. His vision for Recovery Room is a spa-like experience where the public can access vitamins, homeopathic remedies, and intravenous hydration without the need to visit a hospital or traditional medical practice. Dr. Meshad works closely with the staff of Recovery Room to bring the latest naturalistic agents to the gulf coast!
