The HOCATT session
You’ll sit back comfortably on the adjustable seat and the chamber doors are closed to cover your body while your head remains outside the chamber. A neck cape ensures comfort and the retention of the steam chamber contents.
Pure, humidified, oxygen runs through a special oxygen jet to your nose and mouth, boosting Oxygen saturation in your body during the HOCATT session.
Steam and Far Infrared Rays (FIR) heat up your body. The HOCATT has FIR pads located at your feet and a large FIR pad behind your back.
CO2 is infused in the beginning of the HOCATT session to react with the steam and create Carbonic Acid. The heat dilates the pores and the carbonic acid further potentiates that effect. Carbonic Acid is one of the very few compounds that naturally, and without any side effects, increases the uptake and delivery of Oxygen at the cellular level.
The Activated Oxygen cycle starts as soon as the CO2 cycle has ended, and continues for the duration of the HOCATT session.During this stage the ozone reacts with the steam to form ozone products on the surface of the skin. Thanks to the carbonic acid cycle, the efficacy of the ozone cycle in the HOCATT™ is potentiated by up to double, compared to normal ozone saunas.
Special frequency specific micro-currents may be selected to stimulate the body through foot electrode pads and/or hand held electrodes. You can speak with your provider about which currents may work best for you.
High-Intensity PEMFs (Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Fields) can be added to your HOCATT session. Think of this powerful therapy as a way to recharge your body!
Essential Oils can be added to a special compartment within the HOCATT steam jet. The essential oils are infused with the steam as it fills the chamber, making this a transdermal application.
Full spectrum color light fills the chamber. Two color stars change color randomly in multi-color crossfades. The HOCATT utilizes all colors of the spectrum, from soothing and relaxing to balancing and energizing.
At the end of the session, the entire volume of steam is extracted into an ozone destructor. This prevents releasing the ozone-oxygen into the room when the chamber doors open.
What is HUGO?
HUGO can be used independently from or in conjunction with your HOCATT session. HUGO provides high-intensity pulsed electromagnetic fields (PEMF) to the body. Think of this powerful therapy as a way to recharge your body! The HUGO can provide pain relief, promote healing and regeneration, enhance circulation and oxygenation and counteract harmful electromagnetic radiation from the environment.

How long is each session?
HOCATT sessions will last 20-30 minutes and are by appointment only.
Do I need to do anything to prepare for my appointment?
A provider will call you to discuss the benefits and contraindications prior to your appointment to ensure you are an appropriate candidate. You do not need to do anything outside of our normal routine.
How many sessions do I need?
Typical protocols recommend beginning with 2-3 sessions per week and then determining a schedule appropriate to your needs.
What will my appointment look like?
On the day of your appointment, our provider will bring you into our HOCATT suite for a brief consultation. You will be asked to review and sign a waiver and consent form if you have not done so prior to your appointment time.
You will be asked to remove any jewelry, hearing aids, or other metal from the body. We have you privately undress and cover yourself with a towel wrap. Once you are dressed, the provider will return to the room to begin your session.
The HOCATT will be preheated, so that it is warm. The provider will assist you in getting into the HOCATT and adjusting the seat height for comfort. Once you are seated inside and the doors are closed, you may feel free to open your towel. A small towel will be placed gently around the opening for your head to prevent ozone from escaping during the session. You will be given supplemental oxygen throughout the session.
The provider will remain with you throughout the session and may adjust settings to maximize your benefit.
At the conclusion of your session, the ozone destructor will turn on briefly to remove the ozone from the HOCATT chamber. The chamber will cool off during this period, but it is very brief. You may wrap the towel around yourself while the destructor clears the chamber, and then the provider will open the doors and assist you in stepping out of the chamber. The provider will leave the room to allow you to dress.
